Theosaurus (kurz Theo) ist der Name dieses Sparschweins aus hochwertigem Porzellan. Der Name ist vom Lateinischen ‚thesaurus’ (Schatz) abgeleitet. Sparschweine sind in Kleinasien seit 4.000 Jahren bekannt – und haben sich von dort aus in aller Welt vermehrt. Sie waren einst kleine Tresore, in denen die Ersparnisse aufbewahrt wurden. Sparschweine sind heute seltener geworden. Um so besonderer ist Theo, ein selbstbewusstes Sparschwein. Theo ist einer der letzten seiner Sorte und hat seine eigene Geschichte: Das Design stammt von Morphorm/Martin Schatz, einem Produktdesigner aus Berlin in Kooperation mit der Produktdesignerin Lee Kmji aus Busan/Südkorea. Eine der traditionsreichsten Porzellanmanufakturen in Deutschland produziert das Sparschwein: die 1764 gegründete Wallendorfer Porzellanmanufaktur. Die Verschlüsse beim stehenden Theo sind aus echtem Kork, und stammen von dem ältesten Spezialisten in Deutschland: Der 1900 gegründeten Firma Eugen Hackenschuh. Das sitzende Sparschwein ist mit einem Qualitäts-Metallschloss versehen.

Theosaurus, Theo for short, is the name of this high-quality porcelain piggy bank. His name comes from the Latin term "thesaurus" (treasure). Piggy banks were invented in Asia Minor 4,000 years ago, and they have since spread around the world.  They were once small chests in which savings were kept.  Today, piggy banks are more rare than they once were, and Theo is, for this reason, all the more special.  He stands there a proud, self-assured piggy bank, one of the last of his kind with his own story: His design originated from Morphorm/Martin Schatz, a product designer from Berlin in cooperation with Lee Kmji, a product designer from Busan/South Korea. Theo is produced in Thuringia by Wallendorfer Porzellanmanufaktur, a German porcellan manufacturer founded in 1764 and steeped in tradition. The shoes of the standing Theo are made from actual cork, a premium natural product, and are produced by the oldest cork specialist in Germany:  the firm of Eugen Hackenschuh. The sitting version of Theo features a quality metal lock.

この高級磁器製貯金箱の名はテオザウルス（略称テオ）です。ラテン語で「宝物」を意味するテザウルスに由来します。貯金箱は、四千年前からすでに小アジアに存在し、そこから世界中に広まったと考えられています。その原型は、貯金を保管する小さな金庫でした。貯金箱の存在すらまれになってきた今日、テオはその原型を特に意識して制作されました。この歴史を受け継ぐ貴重な存在、テオはこうして誕生しました。そのデザインはベルリンで活動するデザイナー、Morphorm/マーティン・シャッツがリー・キュムジ（韓国／釜山）とのコラボレーションで行いました。ドイツの最も伝統的な磁器マニュファクチャーの一つで、1764年に創立されたヴァレンドルファー磁器製作工場で製作しています。直立型のテオは上質なコルクを使用しており、1900年に創立された専門業者オイゲン・ハッケンシューにより加工されております。座り型のテオの開口部は金属製のふたを備えています。

Theosaurus (ou Théo pour les intimes) est le nom de cette tirelire en cochon faite de porcelaine précieuse. Son nom vient du latin “thesaurus” (coffre-fort, trésor). Les tirelires en cochon existent en Asie depuis 4.000 ans et se sont répandues partout. Elles étaient à cette époque de petits coffre-fort dans lesquels les économies étaient conservées. De nos jours, les tirelires en cochon sont devenues rares. Théo est l’un des derniers représentant de son espèce, et son histoire est singulière: Il a été élaboré par le designer berlinois Morphorm/Martin Schatz en collaboration avec la designer pusanois Lee Kmji/Corée du Sud. Sa production est assurée par la manufacture de Wallendorf situé en Thuringe. Fondé en 1764, il s’agit de l’une des plus anciennes manufactures de porcelaine. Les bouchons sont en liège véritable, un produit naturel précieux. Ils sont produits par la plus ancienne entreprise spécialisée dans le domaine, la companie Eugen Hackenschuh, fondée en 1900. Le cochon assis est doté d'un cadenas de métal.
